COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Kia ora and thanks for your interest in The Base Shopping Centre on Facebook and/or Instagram.

This is a space where we hope to excite, inspire, and inform you about what is going on at the centre and in our stores. Please be mindful that we own and operate the shopping centre itself – we don’t own and operate the individual stores, but we are, of course, absolutely willing to help if you have any queries regarding our individual retailers. You are most welcome to get in touch with us if you have any questions or need any assistance of any kind.

We love hearing from you, so please feel free to share your opinions, thoughts and suggestions for what we could do to make your experience at our shopping centre better. However, we’d like our Facebook and Instagram pages to be productive and safe places, so have some community guidelines in place:

Be Respectful
Your input and discussion is absolutely encouraged – it’s one of the main reasons we have a Facebook page! However, be mindful that our team are people with feelings, just like you! We ask you to please consider tackling debates, not us or each other – we promise to show you respect in turn. We have the right to hide or remove your comments, or ban you from our page should you continue to post harmful and threatening messages.

Protect Each Other
Everyone has a right to feel safe without their personal details placed on the internet for all to see. If you have anything to share with us that might affect someone’s privacy (including your own) please send us a private message.

Keep it Clean
As this is a productive and happy place, any comment that is defamatory, or contains sweary-type words might be removed or hidden without notice. We have the right to hide or remove your comments, or ban you from our page should you continue to post harmful and threatening messages.

Nobody Likes a Spammer
Flooding our page with messages or jumping on everyone else’s posts to air your grievances won’t help us help you any faster! Please consider the appropriate way to communicate with us before posting.
