Farmers The Base is holding their annual Shave for a Cure event THIS SATURDAY outside Farmers, inside Te Awa.
Shave for a Cure is Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand's signature fundraising event, running for over a decade. Shaving is a bold but simple way of helping the Kiwis diagnosed with blood cancer or serious blood condition.
Eight Kiwis - adults and children - are diagnosed each day with blood cancer. There's a good chance that they may lose their hair through chemotherapy because it can harm their hair follicles; this can be a difficult, scary and isolating experience.
But they don't have to go it alone. By committing to ‘Shave for a Cure' or donating at any Farmers store between 4th - 24th May - you show your solidarity for Kiwis living with blood cancer and help us get one step further to our vision for a cure.
