Practical Magic 2 sees Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman return to their iconic roles almost 30 years after the original, and somehow they look like they haven’t aged a day! After attending a special preview screening, I can confidently say this is a sequel done right. Bullock and Kidman are as captivating as ever, perfectly balancing the grounded, caring mother and the free-spirited, adventurous aunt who made us fall in love with these characters in the first place.

At its heart, Practical Magic 2 is a feel-good celebration of the magic of sisterhood. Joey King shines with her fiery red hair and infectious energy, channelling shades of Aunt Gilly, while Maisie Williams brings a thoughtful, steady presence that echoes a young Sally Owens. Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing are a delight to watch as Aunt Jet and Aunt Franny, proving once again why they’re such beloved parts of the franchise.

More than anything, this film is about women supporting, uplifting, and loving one another through life’s highs and lows. Whether you’re sisters by blood or sisters by choice, Practical Magic 2 is a heartfelt reminder of the unbreakable bonds that connect us. We left the cinema feeling happy, satisfied, and just a little bit enchanted. Gather your girlies, grab a midnight margarita (trust me, they’re delicious), and settle in for a feel-good journey that will leave you believing in the magic of sisterhood all over again.
